In this activity you will learn how to identify household hazardous products, how to properly dispose of them, and how to create healthy alternatives.
Overview
Some additional group activities to do with your class:
Organize a mini class field trip within the school to find these hidden hazards. Have a class discussion about what these household hazardous products are and how to handle and store them safely.
Make the “Glass and Mirror Cleaner” recipe from the Queen of Green Cleaning Recipes with the class. Allow each student time to clean windows in the classroom. Discuss the results with the class. Materials needed: white vinegar, water, spray bottles, paper towel or clean rags.
